How is tax deducted from Google or Facebook payments? The Act’s Explanation to Section 194C defines the term “work” to include “advertising.” Furthermore, a quick review of Section 194C of the Act discloses that any person responsible for paying any sum to any resident for performing any work in pursuance of a contract is required to deduct tax at source. The rules of Section 194C of the Income-tax Act would apply because there is a contract between the advertiser and Google/Facebook. A contract for an advertisement is covered by Section 194C. Google or Facebook publish advertisements in a variety of digital formats.Advertisements are published on digital media and payments are paid under a contract of advertisement between the payer/deductor and Google India or Facebook India.Deductors/payers are required to pay the entire bill amount to Google India or Facebook India.Īpplicability: TDS on payments made to Google India or Facebook India for Advertisement Expenses. When a payment is made to Google India or Facebook India for online advertisements and tax is deducted from such payment, the deductor must claim a refund of TDS from Google India or Facebook India because, in these cases, the deductor must first deposit the tax into the government’s account out of his own pocket and then claim credit or reimbursement from them. This is true whether you are registered with a Google entity registered in India or a Google entity registered outside of India. The GST rate for Google Adwords advertising is 18 percent.Advertisers that publish ads through a Google entity registered outside of India, on the other hand, will incur a slight loss since an equalization fee of 6% (also known as Google Tax) would apply if you promote through a Google entity registered outside of India.Regardless of whether they are advertising through a Google entity based outside India or through a Google entity situated in India, GST of 18% & TDS of 2% would apply in both cases. It’s crucial to highlight that some publishers are advertising through a Google corporation based in India, while others are advertising through a Google corporation based outside of India.Tax is deductible on such contributions under section 194C of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (“Act”), according to current Indian tax laws. In India, if a company publishes an advertisement on these digital platforms, Google India and Facebook India generate invoices.Google and Facebook, as we all know, are global companies. If someone wants to publish an advertisement on a digital platform, the first two names that come to mind are Google & Facebook.GST 18% & TDS 2 % can be deducted from the advertising cost of Google Ads.Ad Spends on entities registered outside of India are subject to a 6% equalization levy:Īll about the TDS & GST on Google or Facebook Ad words advertisements:.TDS Reimbursement Policy & TDS Certificates Policy on Facebook India:.How to claim TDS Refund from Facebook India?.Google India’s Policy on TDS Reimbursement & TDS Certificates:.How to get reimbursement of TDS from Google India?.The following illustration explains it.TDS of 2% on Google Adwords advertisements:.Google advertising registered from the outside India.Google advertising registered with the Indian entity. How is tax deducted from Google or Facebook payments?.Applicability: TDS on payments made to Google India or Facebook India for Advertisement Expenses. All about the TDS & GST on Google or Facebook Ad words advertisements:.

You’re feeling pretty good about the school year coming to an end, when you realize you still have 3-4 weeks left of school to teach. The scenario unfolds as such: state testing has been completed in late spring towards the end of the school year, and you as a teacher have completed teaching the units found in the front of the curriculum such as algebraic thinking, base ten number systems, fractions, and geometry, etc. In my experience as a math teacher of over ten years measurement curriculum is taught to students quickly without the opportunity to explore. A student may determine the area of the rectangle in multiple ways: by counting each individual square unit to get a total of six square units by decomposing the array into three groups of two and adding each of the three groups (2 + 2 + 2 = 6) others will count the length of square units (3) and count the width of square units (2) then solve by using the formula to find the area (A=L ∙ W). Well, rectangles maybe, but the array structure is something that many students need to be shown explicitly. From "my" experience, measurement can be overlooked as a unit but as we continue, we can determine how measurement impacts all mathematics curriculum.Ī simple rectangular array is basic in appearance, a polygon we have drawn as students since early childhood (see figure 1). Often neglected and overlooked in its teaching, its profound impact on the overall understanding of elementary math can leave students with gaping holes in grasping the entirety of Common Core Mathematics curriculum, with some students unable to overcome the deficits. The mathematical strand of measurement has tended to become the “black sheep” of the math family. The focus on volume is centered on how unit cubes occupy solid prisms as layers and will conclude by investigating how formulas are used.Īs most elementary math teachers can attest, teaching measurement and hoping for student comprehension, particular with area and volume, can be challenging and frustrating. Surface area of rectangles is understood by forming arrays of columns and rows of unit squares. Area is introduced with manipulative hands on activities such as working with foam square units in composing and decomposing rectangular arrays. Students will work with two dimensional arrays and three dimensional rectangular prisms or boxes. Students will understand to use different ideas like form, space, and quantity when conceptualizing a new structure. They will know the amount of space, and that the product of the side lengths in the 3 directions (length, width, height) tells what any box or rectangular prism can hold. After learning this unit, students will know architects and engineers and the use of volume of a box. When determining any given space, we use measurement to describe its size. In my unit, I want my students to understand how architects and engineers use measurement in finding the area, surface area and volume of structures they will compose and construct. Area, Surface Area and Volume: From Misconceptions to Skyscrapers by Ricardo Moreno Measurement GluTessVertex() specifies a vertex of a contour. Void gluTessVertex(GLUtessellator *tess, GLdouble cords, void *vertexData) It is the nested block inside gluTessBeginPolygon() and gluTessEndPolygon() block. Each contour must be wrapped within this block, gluTessBeginContour() and gluTessEndContour(). Void gluTessEndContour(GLUtessellator *tess)Ī polygon may have more than one closed contour(closed loop), for example, a polyon with a hole in it has 2 contours, inner and outer contours. Void gluTessBeginContour(GLUtessellator *tess) You must describe non-convex polygon between this block. Instead of using glBegin() and glEnd() block to describe all vertices of a polygon, you need to use tessellator-specific block, gluTessBeginPolygon() and gluTessEndPolygon(). Void gluTessEndPolygon(GLUtessellator *tess) Void gluTessBeginPolygon(GLUtessellator *tess, void *userData) If failed to create one, it returns NULL pointer. GluNewTess() creates a tessellator object and gluDeleteTess() deletes the tessellator object. OpenGL provides a collection of routines to process concave polygons to convex polygons: Finally, once tessellation is done, tessellator calls actual OpenGL commands to render the tessellated polygon through the user-defined callback routines. The basic procedure of tessellation is sending all vertex coordinates of a non-convex polygon to the tessellator instead of sending them directly to OpenGL rendering pipeline, and then tessellating the polygon by the tessellator. The left is 4-side concave polygon, the middle has a hole in it, and the right is self-intersecting contour.ĭownload: tessellation.zip, stencilTess.zip Overview Since OpenGL accepts only convex polygons for rendering, these non-convex polygons must be tessellated before rendering. Tessellation is subdividing concave polygons or polygons with intersecting edges into convex polygons. 1 of his Cinq poèmes de Baudelaire the piece itself has brief echoes of “Les sons et les parfums tournent dans l’air du soir”, whose title in turn is from Baudelaire’s “Harmonies du soir,” no. (The title is a line from Baudelaire’s “Le balcon,” which Debussy had set in 1888 as no. Another short piano piece is examined in detail because it is a recent discovery: “Les soirs illuminés par l’ardeur du charbon,” which Debussy gave to his coal dealer early in 1917 in lieu of payment for a delivery. Three of these were short piano pieces, of which the Berceuse héroïque is the most substantial. Nevertheless this otherwise barren year set the stage for Debussy’s final period of evolution as a composer, which included, in 1915, a last brave burst of brilliant creativity-a heartening example to composers everywhere that even in the awareness of world catastrophe and approaching death one could grow and evolve, and to produce works of remarkable richness and originality.Ĭhapter 2 covers Debussy’s works motivated by the war. The outbreak of war a month later depressed him still further, and his only other composition from that year was the Berceuse héroïque for piano (also orchestrated) commissioned for a charity album honoring King Albert and the war dead of the Belgian army. Already seriously ill with cancer that had appeared five years earlier, Debussy was haunted by awareness of frustrated inspiration and decreased productivity, and had to reach back to unpublished fragments, composed in 1900 to accompany recitations from Pierre Louÿs’s Chansons de Bilitis, expanding them into the six Épigraphes antiques for piano, four hands in July 1914. His score for the Diaghilev-Nijinsky ballet Jeux, a large-scale effort and one of his finest accomplishments, had been poorly received at its premiere the year before. The year 1914 was one of darkness for Debussy the composer. A final metacritical chapter discusses the impact on the musical world of Debussy’s last compositions themselves, which even today have never achieved the popularity of his earlier works. In this short book, Marianne Wheeldon examines Debussy’s late style from several standpoints: the historical and cultural context of Debussy’s late works, his idiosyncratic reinvention of the sonata form as an emblem of French national pride, his preoccupation with specifically pianistic problems, and the effects of failing health and World War I on his state of mind. Writers on music, and indeed many performers, have commented on the special qualities and originality of Claude Debussy’s last works, with varying degrees of sympathy, understanding, or plain bewilderment, comparing their inner-directed refinement and rarefied atmosphere to the last works of Beethoven. The community derives its name from the neighborhood elementary school of the same name. The Logan neighborhood got its start as a community development steering committee in 1976. Today, the well-established Manito Park neighborhood is known for its mature trees, annual community events, and pedestrian-friendly streets. The neighborhood is also home to Cannon Hill Park, developed in 1907 with two pergolas, a shelter, and a children's wading pool. The park and adjacent Manito Boulevard are on the National Register of Historic Places. Originally host to a zoo, the popular park has seen many improvements over the years, including various botanical gardens, greenhouses, shelters, playgrounds, and other amenities. In its earliest years, the neighborhood was home to several streetcar lines, providing transportation that meant easy accessibility to the nearby downtown business district, as well as other neighborhoods. The availability of the streetcar, which was used in Spokane from 1888 to 1936, served as a catalyst for the development and early growth of the Manito Cannon Hill neighborhood, part of Spokane's South Hill area. Additionally, there is a walking path around its perimeter. The neighborhood also features the larger Andrew Rypien Field, an athletic field that features soccer fields, basketball hoops, a playground, and expansive green space. The boundary then reconnects with East Illinois Avenue to finish the southern perimeter until it gets to North Market Street, which forms its eastern border.īemiss is home to Hays Park, a community park featuring a playground, open green space, and baseball diamond, as well as the smaller Courtland Park, adjacent to the school, which owns most of it. It then follows North Crestline Street south to the river, which forms its southernmost border before jogging to the north. There, it heads east as far as North Napa Street, where it heads south again to East Illinois Avenue. The western border runs along North Perry Street as far as East Dalton Avenue. He is credited in large part for establishing the city's public education system.Įast Wellesley Avenue forms the northern border of the Bemiss neighborhood. The historic neighborhood of Bemiss is named for Spokane's first superintendent of the city's schools, David Bemiss. With a farmer's market, a community garden, and a beautiful park, the South Perry District is a great place to live. The majority of the neighborhood's residences are only a brief walk away from accessing the neighborhood's cafés, restaurants, bars, and other businesses. Nowhere is this more evident than at the city's historic, pedestrian-friendly Perry Street, particularly near the Grant Park Area. Additionally, the neighborhood provides easy access to Interstate Highway 90.ĭespite its location mere minutes from downtown, the South Perry District maintains its own distinct feeling of community. Residents of the South Perry District enjoy convenient access to the city's downtown area, as well as the university campus and major healthcare providers. As one of the first areas of the city to be developed, the South Perry District is one of Spokane's oldest neighborhoods, dating back to the late 1800s. Haseley’s said his goal with “Undead Blocks” was to create a game that anyone would want to play-if they’re into the zombie niche. Earlier in his career, he worked as a securities lending analyst at Goldman Sachs and also worked at the Bank of Hope and M&T Bank before deciding to start his own gaming company. Unlike many other blockchain game developers who come from a traditional games industry background, Haseley comes from the world of traditional finance. ZBUX can be used to buy in-game weapons and character cosmetics. How do players kill and earn? Haseley explained that players can earn ZBUX, the game’s token, and redeem it for Ethereum or Immutable’s IMX token, to name a few (ZBUX can be traded on Uniswap ). The game is designed to be played with friends in multiplayer mode but also offers plenty of competitive challenges for solo players. Headshots kill zombies faster, and the best players will also have to develop a strategy for herding and butchering the slow-moving masses of undead, whether it’s by leading them into a room where you’ll meet them with a shotgun or running across the map while you reload and snipe them from afar. While Haseley designed the game with casual players in mind, aim does matter. The title is already cross-platform, allowing players to experience the title on PC or Mac, with browser support available and mobile cloud gaming coming soon. In “Undead Blocks,” players shoot zombies and collect various items and rewards randomly generated on the battlefield. “Our game isn’t for pros,” Haseley told Decrypt in an interview, instead describing his title as a “kill-to-earn” social game that’s like “Mario Kart meets COD Zombies.” After it is hit once, it leaves a trail of burning footsteps behind it, and after the second hit, it shoots fireballs out of its mouth. Dino Piranha mainly attacks by rushing at Mario, who must retaliate by hitting the large ball at the end of its tail. This must be done three times to defeat it. Big Bungee Piranha will howl in pain which will give you an opportunity to hit its weak point which is its tongue. When Big Bungee targets Yoshi there and starts to descend, you must then jump off. To defeat it, Yoshi must jump on a Chomp Rock that is conveniently placed in the middle of the stage.
